The New York Times asks, "Has Montauk lost its cool or is it more fun?" - a pressing question that has been lingering unanswered for a while now. The Times uses Ben Watts' Shark Attack Sounds as a way to witness the clashing cultures of the high end Hamptons migrating all the way to the more "laid back" Montauk. My first Tate's cookie experience happened at home. My dad had just come back from the grocery store, where he was sent to probably just buy things we actually needed like bread or milk or something along those lines, and he of course came back with 8 million other bags, full of tempting, fattening items we didn't need, including a bag of Tate's chocolate chip cookies. It's safe to say I have now chronicled my life before and after my first Tate's cookie, so when I discovered there was a Tate's retail store I knew I needed to meet the brains behind the cookie operation: Kathleen King.

Well THAT's embarrassing. Apparently Paris Hilton has a wandering eye despite the fact that she's kinda sorta still with Cy Walts. When she was at South Pointe in Southampton over memorial day weekend, a "hispter-looking hottie" DJ made her look twice and so she immediately sent one of her minions to tell the greaseball that she wanted him to approach her. These high rollers travel in packs, so if a few are looking to switch up their summer plans, this most likely means a trend is on the way. More»

Rumor has it that Vice President Joe Biden will once again be spending his Memorial Day Weekend in Southampton. Last year he allegedly stayed with David Bohnett, known in Southampton as a supporter of cleaning up Lake Agawam, among other things. Whether or not he will stay in the First Neck Lane estate again isn't 100% clear, but it is assumed he will be there once again this weekend. Hopefully he will have better luck at golfing this year than he did last summer should he visit the Southampton Golf Club again. More»

Mark Baker thinks the Hamptons nightlife scene is too full of boring summer share housers, and is on mission to change his perception. Among this summer's nightlife metamorphosis occurring out East, Baker (co-owner of The Double Seven) has set up shop in a former Polish Hall in Southampton with his latest venture, The Elm. "Think of it as something like The Jane or Rose Bar, a place to have a nice dinner and drinks after. It's sophisticated chic," said Baker. More»
