While New Yorkers are gearing up for a sneak peek of Fall '09 styles at February's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, independent designers all over the city are unveiling their spring collections. It can admittedly be a bit of drag to see a parade of more coats, sweaters, hats, and scarves while we're already cold and shivering, a fact which makes these spring shows all the more appreciated and promising. This sense of seasonal optimism was no exception at the Thuy Spring '09 Runway Show last Friday.
