Briana Swanson’s birthday party at the Eldridge last night brought out all of the usual suspects including owner Matt Levine and Francesco Civetta (who was DJ).  Others included Liam McMullan, Nick Hunt, Vanessa Bokaemper, John Munson, Ariel Moses, Sebastian Bland, Sam Talbot, Katie Gall, Shawn McDonald, Mechelle Easterlain, Scott Buccheit, Naeem Delbridge, Jenn Long, Gage Cass, Tara Church, Tom Metzker and Stephanie Wei and David Karp among others.  More photos below….

Last night, the Shorty awards took over the Galapagos space in Dumbo, and for me that meant one thing, a chance to meet @MC_Hammer in real life!  For those of you that are lost, the Shorty awards are the Oscars for Twitter. (Get it-because Tweets are short, thanks Andrew!).  My group included the lovely Rachel Sklar (@rachelsklar), Andrew Cedotal (@acedeotal), Cameron Winklevoss and Stephanie Wei (both who have not caught on to the Twitter bug yet).  We spent a lot of time outside trying to get in, but of course, it was well worth the wait, and I don’t mean the part about the award ceremony…

Liam McMullan is finally legal!  This cutie pie celebrated his 21st birthday with loads of friends at Suzie Wong’s on Friday night.  The after party continued on at the top of the Chelsea Hotel rooftop of Sam Bassett.  This photo above was our favorite.  The look on Liam’s face says it all: “Yeah dad, life is good!”

Emily, I write this post in response to your question with the utmost caution. You wield your drively pen like a big stick, and your hamfisted ways have been known to strike far and wide at even the most unsuspecting of victims. Clearly, I have not escaped your reach. Is it possible that Emma Snowdon-Jones had a point, a major one at that? Being dragged through the mud not once but twice by the louche reporter George Gurley of The Observer is enough for one person. But I digress.

It seems that Emily “The Eldridge” Brill has recently been quite the pot shot magnet. Page Six took a shotgun to her and managed to coax the “Grande Dame” Emma Snowdon-Jones into taking multiple “anonymous” snipes. Being quite the lady, Emily decided naturally not to unmask Emma, instead opting to post a detailed profile of Emma with everything short of her name.

So we felt a little sorry for her and decided to lend a helping hand by unmasking Emma Snowdon-Jones. How could you not love this girl? With all of her Emilyisms and Brilliant unfiltered commentary through the oversized bug-eyed glasses of a “5th Avenue misfit”.

We’ve all known for a while now that socialites can be radioactive.  Very radioactive.  Look no further than Kristian Laliberte who apparently rats out his friends,  Emily Brill (just read anything here),  or our very own Stephanie Wei, who apparently is higher than a kite.  But alas, no need to preach to the choir here.  And yet we continue to preach: Cityfile has done a MASTERFUL job of crackerjack sleuthing, pinpointing “Black Friday” for Lehman Brothers and the current meltdown to March 7th of this year, when a slew of socialites slunk their way up to the exchange to ring in the closing bell.  This served to officially debunk the racked claim that it was much ado about Rachel Zoe.

It’s weird to see a photo spread of yourself in a Magazine, especially posing with Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick (better known as “Chuck Bass”). It’s even crazier to be tagged by Page Six Magazine as one of three NYC’s IT Girls. But I’m not going to lie, it’s pretty cool and exciting!!!

I was having breakfast on Sunday morning at a diner in Quogue with Rachelle, David X Prutting, and two other friends when I remembered that the story was in Page Six Magazine. We all huddled around to see the photo and read the “blurb” about me.

We heard all about the exciting shoot that Stephanie Wei undertook a couple of weeks ago.  You know, the one where she got to lie across Gossip Girl hottie Ed Westwick?  Over breakfast at the “Inn Spot” in Quogue this Sunday morning, we all watched Ms. Wei open her spread.  The photo we all loved…as for her “blurb”, well you’ll have to wait for her critique of that later….

I live everyday like I were going to die tomorrow. Liam McMullan and I went skydiving recently in Long Island. I had just gotten back from Seattle and Liam called, “I’m going skydiving in the morning. Want to come?” My response, “Sure, why not?” I’d always wanted to go skydiving and I was just waiting for the right time. It was on the way to the Hamptons, where I was going the next day, anyway. At 6 am, we took a train to Huntington and picked up Liam’s car at his grandmother’s house.

I am scared of heights. For reals. I figured that jumping out of a plane at 13,500 feet would be the perfect way to conquer my fear. As we drove up to the Long Island Skydiving Center, I felt mixed emotions - I was super excited, but at the same time, I was scared to death.

[Julia Allison just caught the yellow nail fever that Devorah Rose knows and Stephanie Wei started]

Julia Allison just got her nails done, and guess what? They’re YELLOW!  O.M.G. !!! (!) Such a hot new color to be sporting!!  Except it’s not new.  It’s actually quite “done” as an “it” color as far as I’m concerned (everyone else has moved on to purple Julia get with it!)  To recollect: first there was Stephanie Wei who toted “Yellow as the new Black” many many months ago.  Then Devorah Rose caught the yellow fever early on in the summer.  Julia, did you consult with Mary before making this decision on which bright hue would be gracing your popular phalanges??
