[John Forte, photos by CHANCE YEH for PMc] John Forté, ex-Fugee member, astounded us yet again last night with his fresh, lyrical beats at the album release of his first EP album in seven years: StyleFREE. The performance took place at the ever-hip RDV in the West Village, a unique setting to celebrate the release of his new album which Forté described as "cathartic" following his release from prison (he was in for drug possession). Guests at last night's performance included Talib Kweli, Sky Nellor, DJ Logic, and Ben Taylor.
