Summer Solstice

This morning, a shrewd mother duck who obviously follows the news taught her adorable ducklings what summer in Los Angeles is all about: pool parties. She took the liberty of hosting her own and led her young in a casual dip in a backyard swimming pool. Even she knows today is the official first day of our favorite season and got a head-start on the pool action. More»

Carmen Marc Valvo and Frank PuliceChristian Wolffer and Angelica CompagnoKatherine Birch and Greg Clemmons

Today's top pics come from last Saturday night at the Wolffer Estate Vineyards in Sagaponack. It was the Summer Solstice and it benefited the Group For the East End. We heard all about this from our Plum TV Host, Nick Gregory. On to my picks:

  1. Carmen Marc Valvo and Frank Pulice: Anyone that can pull off a shirt like that (as Frank does) deserves a spot on the list. Plus, even his facial expression matches his outfit.
  2. Christian Wölffer and Angelica Compagno: I first met Christian last year at his daughter Joey's bday party. The first thing that struck me was his charismatic smile, which PMC caught nicely in this photo. Who wouldn't be happy sitting on his vineyard next to a beautiful woman. Live is good.
  3. Greg Clemmons and Co-Chair Katherine Birch: Though the ruffles are a bit much for me (though I bet would eat this dress up?!), I love the color on her, and, as always, anyone that dares to be a bit different. Her purple looks good next to Greg's nantucket reds.
