Fans of fashion celebrated their independence early this year at Samantha Thavasa , where Q Magazine and Tinsley Mortimer hosted a cocktail party in celebration of the holiday. Last night Julianne Moore and Bergdorf Goodman CEO Jim Gold held two celebrations in honor of Tomas Maier, the talented creative director of luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta. The party started with cocktails at the department store and moved onto a dinner at the the classic french restaurant  La Grenouille. Creator Tana Chung displayed her distinctive design work to buyers and browsers including Erin Fetherston, Maggie Rizer, Alex McCord, Simon van Kempen, Kristian Laliberte, Miguelina Gambaccini, Annie Churchill, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Melissa Foss, Susan Shin,  Carter Cramer, Robert Fowler, Alexis Bryan, Jared Clark, Cena Jackson, Anisha Lakhani, Tamsin Lonsdale, Lara Meiland Shaw, Nick Raynes and Tia Walker; the crowd clearly a worthy rival to the beauty of the jewelry pieces showing.

Last night, Tony Winner BD Wong and designer Vivienne Tam helped The Asia Society kick off Asia Week in NYC, which this year has 20 private gallery previews, curator-led tours, auction house viewings, lectures, and other exceptional events.  The Garden Court was transformed for “Bangkok Nights,” an evening that included unique performances, private access to the museum, an elegant dinner, dancing to DJ Serebe Kirobe (of Merkato fame), as well as a live auction with over 20 amazing trips including a two week trip to Thailand worth $100k. Last night, Carrie Cloud and Annabel Vartanian celebrated their birthdays together at the newly opened Nolita joint, Delicatessen.  It was quite the successful turnout, because drinking champagne downtown is obviously more fun than watching the debates! Chance Yeh was there to capture the fun along with guests like Coleman Chamberlain, Kristian Laliberte, Nishan Vartanian, Jennifer Creel, Lara Meiland Shaw, Jen Cohen, Nick Dietz, Susan Shin, Trey Knight, David Chines, and Timo Weiland (in an adorable yellow Timo! tie).
