Fresh off their performance at Sunday's Hudson Block Party to the swaggering drunk delight of thousands and dismay of a few disgruntled neighbors, last night the sister trio from L.A. known as Haim performed at Palihouse in West Hollywood. The special evening music event sponsored by Kanon Vodka and Nudie Jeans featured a raw and impressive acoustic set that, for better or worse, inspired many in the audience with absolutely no musical ability to want to start a band. On Thursday at SXSW, Spank Rock, Dan Deacon, Teengirl Fantasy, Com Truise, DZ Deathrays, and Sisu teamed up to perform at Beauty Bar for the IHEARTCOMIX, Boysnoize Records, and Bad Blood showcase. Guests pushed and shoved to get into the tiny venue, but only the lucky ones got to hangout in the intimate outdoor space. Check out photos of the performances below! More»

On Saturday, Rick Ross took the stage at Fader Fort for a surprise performance to wrap up the week's festivities at SXSW. He performed a 40 minute set for the packed venue, dropping his hit songs including "Hustlin" and "I'm On One." Rappers Gangsta Boo and Stalley opened up for Fader Fort's last set of the week. More»

Yesterday, Fader Fort sponsored by Converse kicked off their SXSW schedule with live performances by Troy Noka, White Arrows, Django Django, Young L, Friends, Oberhofer, Santigold, Danny Brown, and with DJ sets Jazz One, Nick Catchdubs, and Nguzunguzu. 2 Chainz was supposed to play, but was found shopping for Converse in the VIP section, and apparently didn't know he was supposed to play a set. Just a few hours ago, Jay-Z took to the stage at SXSW, the ever-growing technology/film/music festival. To really incorporate all three elements of the gathering, which prides itself in it's panels and discussions involving social media and the like, SXSW streamed the concert live and for free on the American Express YouTube channel. The show was Jay-Z's first-ever solo performance, and was held at Austin City Limits Moody Theater for the "Amex Sync Show Presenting Jay-Z." As you can tell from the photos and live stream, the theater was packed, with lines are stretching outside the doors and around the block. More»
