Since 1988, Taste of the Nation has been New York’s premiere tasting event, with 100% of ticket proceeds going to benefit the charity Share Our Strength, working to end childhood hunger in America. Over 70 of the city's best restaurants and bars travelled down to Soho to set up shop at 82 Mercer and feed the best-dressed foodies of Manhattan. The 2013 line up included Momofuku Ssam Bar, Gramercy Tavern, Ai Fiori, Aldea, Red Rooster, The Marrow, The Meatball Shop, PDT, Pegu Club, Booker & Dax, The Dead Rabbit, Pouring Ribbons, and more. Fortunately, even if you weren't able to make it, we attended this year's event and intend to spill the secrets with you. We've rounded up our top ten favorite bites, in case you don't have time to hit all 70 restaurants.
