It saddens us when people only associate F.Scott Fitzgerald with high school English classes or A.P reading requirements. Or even worse, movie adaptations of his work. While we're huge (HUGE) fans of The Great Gatsby, the number of books he's produced worth reading are practically countless. Take The Beautiful And Damned for instance (no, not the movie Kiera Knightley was in) A novel that basically sums up moral depravity, The Beautiful And Damned takes a look at a young, wealthy New York couple in the 20s era who are whittling their money, and their lives away. The Great Gatsby. It goes without saying that The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald will forever be hailed as one of the great American classics, as many of you probably learned from your honors English high school class back in the day.  It can also be considered a Hamptons classic, however, thanks to its Long Island setting.  It has the requisite polo tournaments, drinking at inappropriate hours, and grand palatial estates.
