Last night, we hosted our "Hats Off!" party, to celebrate the DVD release of the critically acclaimed documentary about our favorite 93-year old "life muse", Mimi Weddell. With our sponsor and cohost (and director of the film) Jyll Johnstone of Canobie Films, and our other cohost, the gracious Abigail Lorick, Ari Cohen and Rachelle Hruska (in Keith Lissner who was also present) welcomed guests to the historic Algonquin Hotel for cocktails, and chance to see the film and meet Mimi herself. Guests who came to gaze upon the wonder that is Mimi (I'm not kidding, look at the pictures! It's like students sitting at the feet of Socrates) included:

Abigail Lorick took some time out from designing her label to help us plan our hat party for Mimi Weddell (it's going to be on Dec 2nd!) She looked lovely while tickling the ivories at the Historic Algonquin Hotel, home to the infamous Round Table that will be helping us host the event. Lorick always looks graceful and full of class, even after arriving home from India earlier in the day. We all can't wait to celebrate with Mimi Weddell

Plovgh, the new online farmers market
Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.
