Welcome to round two of Coachella Weekend 2012. With one weekend down and another three days of shows ahead of me, it's almost like I get a do-over and can now make educated decisions for this round of Coachella evening stage-hopping. Having this personal wisdom and experience from which to base this weekend's festival choices, I thought I'd share my humble opinion with you all for anyone who cares to know what my picks and nixes for shows to see this weekend. There are many out there who disagree with much of what I'm about to submit to you but, as my dad always says, that's why there's chocolate and vanilla. Therefore, here's why I think you can't miss Calvin Harris and should *seriously* consider forgoing Radiohead in my Coachella Weekend 2 Shows to See & Skip. More»

I know it's a bummer to think about, but not everybody made it to Coachella this year. For every perfectly outfitted flower/raver/rocker/surfer child making their way to the desert right now, there's a buttoned-down sad sack taking the corporate elbow to the forehead on a rainy Friday afternoon. But thanks to YouTube's streaming Coachella channel, we can all still watch The Black Keys together. More»

Coachella-goers: by now, hopefully, you've got yourself together. You're dressed, ready, you've studied the setlist, maybe you're even at the gates already. But, tragic as it is to admit, you can't be everywhere at once, so you've still got some tough choices to make. Well don't worry, we cover Coachella year-round around these parts, and that means we've already prepared a day-by-day breakdown of our top picks for unmissable shows– some headliners and some more obscure. Everyone loves music. It is one of the only (naturally occurring) things in the world scientifically proven to affect mood, the audibly consumable drug. Festivals in the U.S. have come a long way since the famed days of acid trips and free love at Woodstock '69 and more still since the  corporate greed and flash rioting of Woodstock '99.  Between plane tickets, camping permits, and hotel rooms, music festivals now-a-days can get expensive very quickly. Prep beforehand with our guide to ten upcoming festivals across the globe. More»

In a sense, the third and final day of Coachella is the trickiest for both the schedulers and the festival-goers themselves. With two straight days of desert heat, nonstop music, killer parties, and whatever, um, extracurricular activities you may be getting into under the belt, it may feel like a challenge to maintain a third full of day of music. But Goldenvoice isn't exactly going easy on us with the Day 3 lineup this year, having put together a collection of highly energetic, much anticipated acts that will challenge you to get your weight up for one last day and make the most of your time in the desert.
