Sean MacPherson's latest project out in Montauk proved to be the best kept secret this summer out east. In no small part to a dedicated chef (Jeff Schwarz) and a super hot manager (Celine Valensi). MORE>>>
According to Curbed Hampton's Nick Leighton today, Jeff Schwarz, the "Wall Streeter turned chef and yogi," was booted from the Crow's Nest kitchen in Montauk after a rumor that he was unable to make the kitchen profitable. This is completely untrue, says owner Sean MacPherson. "It is my position that both Schwarz (and Valensi) did a hell of a job this year." More»
Beware jet setters, your oh so glamorous lifestyle is no longer in style, and you can blame the accessibility of your vacations spots for that. It is now far more acceptable, if not encouraged, to hop from one ridiculously hard to reach place to the next. There's one requirement, these unheard of paradises, deserts and beaches must be void of the corporate stamp that comes along with chain stores and massive resort hotels. While laying the groundwork for GofG Hamptons, we heard rumors of a new MacPherson restaurant in Montauk. We just checked in with the man himself....
MacPherson has indeed bought The Crow's Nest, which is "nestled in a small private secluded cove" right by the Montauk lighthouse. More»
MacPherson has indeed bought The Crow's Nest, which is "nestled in a small private secluded cove" right by the Montauk lighthouse. And while Crow's Nest is a restaurant (MacPherson and crew have spent the past six months working on a menu), it looks like Jamie Mulholland's Surf Lodge might have some competition on "The End."
