It's sad to say this, but the days when hard rock music dominated the charts are a clear thing of the past. Do you know the last time a rock song was #1 for the year on the Billboard Top 100 charts? It was 2002, and it was Nickelback's "How You Remind Me", which doesn't even count because Nickelback is the musical equivalent of Nutraloaf. Still, we were at least able to briefly turn back the clock last night, as a slew of Rock Icons from years past (and a few movie stars, as well) showed up to rage last night at Club Nokia for the 4th Annual Revolver Golden God Awards. Not that we can really complain about winter weather in L.A., but it's nevertheless nice to have it officially be spring, right? That extra sunlight in the afternoon encourages people to drink outdoors, wear shorts to work, and, of course, to go out more on weeknights. Luckily, there are plenty of places to go, as this week is packed with a wide variety of live music, from country legends, to up-and-coming rappers, to an actress with surprising rock and roll chops. So get off the couch, scrap your boring plans, and go see a show! More»

Go HERE for more photos by RACHEL SKLAR! Last night, Taylor Momsen, aka Jenny Humphrey from "Gossip Girl" and her band "The Pretty Reckless" got reckless on stage at the Annex. And Sklar, who was front and center says "they were pretty good" Adding:
"I quite liked the speed and sound of their stuff, and Momsen can sing - she belts it out with a rough scratchy punk-rock voice that had a Courtney Love/Kim Carnes/Alannah Myles/Gwen Stefani/Hedwig feel. Plus good energy and presence, especially when you remember that she's freaking SIXTEEN. Can't wait for the ep when Little J opens for Rufus! Whoops, other way around"
