This summer, we broke the news that Todd English (of the W Hotels restaurants, and a Food Network star), and club owner Jon B were joining forces to revamp the old Opera space in Chelsea. (539 W. 21st). Today, we got wordthat the space, which has yet to releaseits official name, will open its doors to some lucky Supper Club members for a private viewing and tasting. There will be live acts to keep guests entertained next Tuesday night, and we will be there, with bells on, to test out the newest edition to the Chelsea family. Invite on left. The Supper Club has expanded to L.A. and on July 9th, they hosted an Ambassador Dinner Party at the Peninsula in Beverly Hills. Guests came to enjoy the dinner, paired with original cocktails care of Leblon. More»

A lot can happen in a year. For instance, last fall I crashed the New York Supper Club Launch at the National Arts Club and 12 months later my name was on the list for the Supper Club’s One Year birthday at Haven. That’s progress. I didn’t exactly crash last year, but I went as a last minute plus one and I’m pretty sure Tamsin Lonsdale had no idea who I was. Actually, most people had no idea who I was. That’s what the Supper Club and I have in common: We’ve both grown over the last year! However, the supper club is a lot more fabulous!

Plovgh, the new online farmers market
Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.
