Because they may not have their health insurance anymore but who cares when you get to play games like "Toss the Telephone" and "Pin the Blame on the Bosses" at 1:30 pm on a Tuesday in the park? A laid-off computer programmer came up with the idea to lift spirits of the jobless and it was such a success that every news team was there with their cameramen in tow (they got to participate in the fun while on the clock which is totally not fair).

Are you unemployed? Well, today's your lucky day, because you get a chance to take part in The Unemployment Olympics starting at 1:30pm at Tompkins Square Park. All you need to bring is your proof of unemployment (ie: NYC unemployment card, letter from old employer, bank statement). With sponsores like Lula's and Pommes Frites, you know this is going to be a great day! Events will include the fax machine toss, "You're Fired" race, Pinata, and Pin the Blame on the Boss.

Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.
