Internet Week's still going on?! You betcha it is.  These dorks have years of partying to catch up on- am I right? Last night, after the "popular nerds" -um  how's that for a paradox, gathered to watch hear Their Omnipotent Leader Barry Diller speak at the Rockefeller center, they moved onwards down to Webster Hall to mingle with the plebs (Gawker commenters and the likes), at DIGG's Diggnation party. (MC HAMMER CAME!)  From here they moved on to M2 for Thrillist's party, or maybe Gawker's rooftop soiree. Whatever order they chose to make them in, they were sure to see this guy running around at all three parties.

[Carson Griffith snapped at the Pink Elephant] Since each one of us here at the G of G crew is as different as the areas of the Hamptons, it's a given that the contents of our beach bags would be too. Sharing all our favorite beach necessities from bikinis to beverages by emptying out our beach bags for you would be the best way to let you get to know us a little better. So each week you can look forward to one of us filling you in on what we lug around with us when we're out in the Hamptons - besides our laptops, of course.... More»

Last night, one of our favorite tech-nerd-CEOs, Ben Lerer, helped his company welcome friends to experience a "Rioja Midnight Tasting" at Yerba Buena on Avenue A. The event, which was a collaboration of Epicurious, Spain Wine Collection, Tempranillo, and Thrillist, seemed to be one of the website's parties NOT to miss. More photos below... More»

The Annual Thrillist Pool Party at the Grace Hotel was looked exactly like you would expect it to.  Nerds in swimsuits playing with blow up toys while drinking shots of sponsored alcohol.  I say that with the utmost love and affection.  And, if anything, this party accomplished the task of getting Nick McGlynn to put his camera down-who knew a pool was all it took?!- hence the lovely Kate Miltner stepping in.  Plus, what other party can you think of that gets Caroline McCarthy in a bathing suit, Dennis Crowley in mesh shorts, and Rex Sorgatz fondling blow up balls? Okay, you're right, it's a straight SXSW flashback...

Last night, Thrillist threw its holiday bash at our favorite hot spot "The Eldridge".  Emily "The Eldridge" Brill sat this one out, but Chris made the trek and said he had a blast.  So much so that he's not allowing me to play any Christmas music in the office until after noon on account of his "recovery".  It seems that Gawker's Richard Blakeley also had a blast - you can see him grinning throughout this post. Johnnie Walker Blue seems to be the alcohol of choice these days, (or the ones that are handing out sponsorships the most), they sponsored this party (and the UrbanDaddy party earlier this week), and the various JW libations went so well with lobster tarts, smoked salmon and goat cheese canapes from Tsalon.  I asked Chris what he thought of the party, this is what I could get out of him:

Last night, I braved to the cold to head out for Thrillist's 3-year anniversary at Greenhouse, the new eco-friendly club by Jon B's team. Thanks to Flavie Bagnol for whisking me out of the bone-chilling night into the pre-party in the downstairs space.  Upon entrance, I was handed my "door prize," a seemingly innocuous business card for Thrillist - but wait! what's on the other side? A pithy phrase (pic at bottom) seemingly to put us back in our places if we were feeling too cool for being admitted, reminiscent of the slave following the victorious Caesar, whispering, "hominem te memento." (See photo of card below). The crowd I shouldered my way through, was made easier to take by pizza from Lassonyc and of course booze from party sponsors Dos Equis, Jose Cuervo, and uncorked.com (I had a bit of each), and the random arrival of my brother Nick, who was "just in the neighborhood".
