The Spring Ball for Save Venice may have been a little dressy for Stanley’s taste, but Truman Capote would have loved it. He might have noticed a shift in style though. Rather than the uptown traditional sit down dinner, this gala, held at the Bowery Hotel, offered only drinks, dessert and dancing. Luigi Tadini noted that he hoped the change in arrangements would make the event “a bit more open and free.” [Save Venice Write Up #1]

Hampton Style has an excellent article about the house of long-time Hamptons character Truman Capote (whose Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired our sister site’s original nom de blog). Like so many of us who spend time out East, he loved his time there, because it was
