They've been known to save straight men from the horrors of poor grooming, but last night, Carson Kreesley and Ted Allen opted to save children instead at Save The Children Benefit, held at Esquire SoHo. There they were joined by the very busy cast of Ugly Betty (who were at the NY Times earlier in the evening), and Peter Sarsgaard and Tim Morehouse. Drinks were provided by Master Mixologist Alex Ott of Sushi Samba and Buddha Bar--and by the way, I really hope that he insists on everyone always addressing him by his full title of Master Mixologist, like, "I'm Master Mixologist Alex Ott, pleasure to meet you." Yesterday evening, cast members from Ugly Betty, including America Ferrera, Michael Urie, Vanessa Williams, and Becki Newton, spoke on a panel as part of the New York Times' "An Evening With Ugly Betty" to discuss the Fashion setting of Ugly Betty and filming in New York. They were joined by costume designer Patricia Field, and the panel was moderated by New York Times Style Magazine editor Horatio Silva. More»
Ugly Betty's filming has taken a city tour, right on the tail of Gossip Girl. After hitting Gramercy last week, the crew was at 45 Tudor City yesterday, but unfortunately the rain put a damper on things (he he). While Eric Mabius, who was at the Inglourious Basterds afterparty until the wee hours, braved the drops and refused cover, America Ferrera had a big, strong man to shield her.
