Nerd Prom in Washington is officially over, and all of the celebrities are back home. From the People/TIME party on WHCD Eve to the Making News Party, from the MSNBC and Vanity Fair/Bloomberg after-parties to the brunches with media elites, here is a look back at the glittery parties of WHCD weekend, in chronological order:

On Saturday night, the Alfalfa Club, the elite DC social club that regroups about 200 members of the political and business spheres, met for its annual closed-door black tie dinner.
According to the Reliable Source, it was the Alfalfa Club's 100th annual meeting. The evening, which was held at the Capital Hilton, honored Henry Kissinger, the secretary of state under Nixon. More»

UK Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha were treated to a lavish State Dinner at the White House last night in a star-studded affair that hosted celebrities, musicians, media moguls and politicos. President Obama celebrated Wednesday night in Chicago with huge fundraisers, but celebrated the actual evening of his birthday Thursday night with a patio party for about 200 in the White House Rose Garden.
