Who doesn't want the Taste of Planters at your holiday party!  MMMM I love the nuts with the sugar coating....I hope we remembered those at our party tonight!

I remember getting lots of board games, including Candy Land, as Christmas presents from Santa.  This is an ad for the game, by Milton Bradley was designed in the 1940s by Eleanor Abbott, while she was recovering from polio in San Diego.  The version above sold for 98 cents!

It's pretty funny to look back on old magazine ads.  Can you imagine what the girls over at Jezebel would do if these sort of things existed today?  Note to men: NEVER. EVER. EVER. will a vaccum be a suitable gift for your broad.  Never.  Got it?
