Exclusively held at the home of Jeff Pfeifle in Watermill, the Midsummer Night Drinks event Saturday helped to benefit God's Love We Deliver. Guests, such as Calvin Klein, sipped on some cocktails, mingled on the very green estate, and danced for the cause. More»
This Friday, the annual Best Buddies Gala took place in watermill. With a host committee complete with some powerful NYC couples: Tatiana and Campion Platt, Anne and Jay McInerney (who's house the party took place at), and Haley and Jason Binn; this "western chic" themed party was the hottest event out east this weekend. Governor David Patterson even stopped by! More photos and story below... More»

For one, it was held at friend, and GofG writer, Ariel Moses' family estate! MORE>>>
[Photos by Kirill] Many internet entrepreneurs seem to be introverted and dorky, at least when it comes to their partying skills. We assumed Thrillist founder Ben Lerer was no exception. However, there wasn't a timid techie in sight at his 4th of July BBQ bash this past Saturday, and these photos speak for themselves, do they not? Maybe Lerer isn't the dorkster we all thought he was? Or maybe his friends, including DJ Tanner, Ryan Harwood, Emily Rotter, Perry Rahbar, David Rodolitz, Ryan Alovis, Eric Sobotka, Mike Hamilton, and Mike Hesekiel, who all helped host the affair, keep Ben up to speed? The party, at their house in Watermill, is a convenient 2 min cab ride from Pink Elephant nightclub...

There aren't too many castles in our country. Then again, the Hamptons isn't exactly comparable to the rest of America. Castles are completely acceptable there it seems. Sir Ivan's got one, complete with a MOAT! Hey, as long as he's got the moat to show for it, I think I'm okay with the whole castle thing.
The GOP nominee came out east this past Saturday, and, in case you were too busy pretending to watch horsies to shell out the $2,300 to hear him speak, here's what you missed:
Who: John McCain, Ron Perelman, Henry Kissinger, Alfonse D'Amato, Steve Forbes
What: A benefit dinner-cum-sermon to the choir by the Republican hopeful
Where: The Water Mill Estate of real estate developer Bill and Phyllis Mack
When: Saturday, June 19th
Talking Points:
Does anyone know what the story is regarding Station Road Restaurant? I read an article in the East Hampton Star about a dispute over what to do with the former Water Mill train station, but it made no mention of turning it into a restaurant. How then, to explain the sign? Apparently its fate should have already been sealed, but I'm having difficulty obtaining it. More photos and official closing note below:
Those of you accustomed to a peaceful cuppa at Hamptons Coffee in Water Mill followed by some leisurely produce-picking at the Green Thumb next door were in for an (unpleasant?) interruption today. New York's not-so-universally-beloved housewives were filming scenes for season 2 of their reality show at both Hamptons hotspots.
With RHONJ soon to enter the fray, it's nice to see RHONY stop trying to be hipsters (Cake Shop? Really?), or Fauxropean, and start sticking to what they know: local joints beloved for their reasonably high quality and high chances of running into Christie, Kelly, and Jerry.
