@Ashley Simko Did Soho House, Jane Hotel, 1OAK and Avenue tonight with a mess of people that I adore. So aggressive… Happy (end of) Fashion Week!

@dizzyblazeberg The Calvin party was fun, but messy. My heart went out to the girl that tripped down the stairs. You were laughing, but it’ll hurt tomorrow!

“Best 2k I Ever Spent!” Marc’s Done It, Again…
[All photos by PATRICK MCMULLAN for PMc]. Last night, one of the most anticipated afterparties of Fashion Week took over the Hiro Ballroom. Marc Jacobs (after showing up with a slew of body guards) brought Lady Gaga to celebrate another eclectic and successful show, demonstrating that the designer who has delivered everything from kilts to cameltoe is showing no signs of slowing down. WWD live tweeted the evening, which included Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Patrick McMullan, Janet Jackson, Lindsay Lohan, Lily Donaldson, Mickey Boardman, Lorenzo Martone, Lauren Santo Domingo and Perez Hilton, right after he spoke with Rachelle about his adventures in show hopping (check out the video, soon). The Fashion World Has Gone Social Media Obsessed, According To WWD
[Picture via WWD] “From Blogs to Twitter Fashion World Rushes to Tap Into Social Media” read WWD’s cover this morning. Usually one of my top sources for fashion news, I was gravely disappointed to see that their leading story was something anyone with a laptop, an email address, and who knows how to type a sentence in 140 characters or less has known for quite some time. They did, however, further break down what companies are succeeding from entering the blogosphere instead of just informing us on fun facts More »

Photo Of The Day: “Following The Leader, The Leader, The Leader…”
Donald Trump and the WWE DIVA girls attend a press conference about the WWE at the Austin Straubel International Airport on June 22, 2009 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. As you can see, Donald’s kindof a big deal.

Luxury Fashion And Cornetti’s Make For A Great Party
Go Here for more Photos from this event by Hayley Proudfoot
Fashion editors galore flocked to The Promotion Factory office in Flatiron today to preview the latest collections from the agency’s luxury fashion and accessories clients. The teams from WWD, Vanity Fair, Lucky, Marie Claire, and Page Six – to name a few – enjoyed the all-day “Cornetti Marathon” (Cornetti’s mean “croissants” in Italian) and snacked on international treats as they enjoyed the fashion (and the weather) on The Promotion Factory’s two spacious outdoor terraces.

Blackbook Magazine Takes Over 1Oak

Ever been in a room full of people you’re sure are fabulous but whom you don’t actually recognize? We were, last night at Blackbook Magazine’s May issue bash, held at the “First you need to get in. Then you need to be cool enough to get a table. Then you can get bottles” glory that is 1 Oak. Somehow we got in that door and, later, into a cushy banquette next to our lovely chum Model Behavior. First though, we ran into the ever dapper Single Threat, who was able to give us the down-low (low-down? no doubt) re the buffed and de-puffed cognescetti getting their Skky-fueled freak on to the Beatles and Britney.

2007 CFDA Awards
The venerable New York Public Library was the setting for last night’s 2007 CFDA awards. While all of the big name fashionistas were there including Ralph, Derek, Jack, Lazaro, Oscar, Anna, Oprah, and Tinsley, it was these tiny tots that won our vote:
Their new fashion line Elizabeth and James (named after their younger siblings) is set to be released this fall. WWD reports the line was created by Peter Koral and Jane Siskin, the creators of Seven For All Mankind and LaRok. Mary Kate tells Women’s Wear, “We wanted it to be based on a relationship between a young girl and a boy and tell the story through the clothing.” Why this type of relationship should be manifest in a clothing line, and why individuals should want to wear it (other than the Olsen’s assocation with it) remains to be determined. In the meantime, guestofaguest will be searching for answers, including what exactly this muse relationship consists of (a brother and sister, a boyfriend and girlfriend, cousins? Could get kinda weird?!).
Which Socialite looked better?
