“Wow. Remember when you didn’t know that 7:30 am existed?!”  Ah yes, nothing like the random call with the college ex last night, (and an upcoming birthday party), to remind me of my mellowing youth. I insisted I had become better with age, wiser, more capable…though I knew that was probably bullshit…my body has just adjusted to the required demands of “adulthood”, the earlier mornings, no naps and taxes, but my mind is caught somewhere in the middle of that youthful purposeless bliss, and the incessant nagging of a successful seniority. I realize I am not the only one going through this phase. The “Quarter Life Crisis” is something that we have posted on before, and is so common that they obviously had to create a name for it. Tonight, we can all enjoy watching this phenomenon played out on TV on NBC’s new show Quarterlife.

Quarterlife is pretty special in that it is the first Internet-based series to make the transition to television, and already has it’s own corresponding web presence and following. “It’s kind of a test of what the differences are between the two mediums, so I’m very curious to see if it’s going to get an audience,”said Kathy Sharpe, chief executive of the New York digital-marketing agency Sharpe Partners, which tracks Internet and network trends. Testing the differences between two mediums AND two phases of life should provide us with some interesting television. p.s. It’s from the creators of “My So-Called Life” and premieres at 10:00pm EST tonight.
