As a Viet Nam vet all I can say is get over it. Unless they allowed you to kill everyone then it is not considered a victory. This country celebrates winners. They are not too concerned about backlash from VN vets because over half of us are dead or dying. We are too small a group to protest, and most of us do not give a shit about a parade. I am sure they will apologize for not having the parade. When you really think about it do you really believe a parade is going to make a difference in anyones life?
