Midtown Opens Red Bar With Bachelor, Bachelorette Cast
On Friday, Midtown held the grand opening of its newly renovated 3rd floor loft space, Red Bar. Castmates from The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad were on hand to help clubbers break in the new space, and these reality stars brought a little extra drama and excitement to the grand opening.
9th Annual SOME Jr. Gala
On Friday night, the Corcoran Gallery of Art hosted the 9th Annual SOME Jr Gala for hundreds of 20-somethings in support of So Others May Eat. Guests indulged in bites and cocktails, took photos in the photobooth, and danced to music by Blue Tips Rhythm Revue.
Mick Rock Exhibit At the W
W Washington D.C. hotel announces the March arrival of ROCKED, legendary rock and roll photographer Mick Rock’s installation of iconic and rarely exhibited photographs, to the Nation’s Capital. The insider exhibit will be displayed in the Living Room at W Washington D.C. March 2-31.
More On The New Smith Point: New Regular List, Too
March 1st will unveil a totally new regular list for Smith Point. The old list, which has been rumored to have anywhere between 2,000 and 15,000 people (I know, that is a huge range, we really have no idea) will be phased out in favor of a new list that will be assembled by those on the VIP list.
One Medical Party
On Tuesday, we threw a party with One Medical, the San Francisco-based medical practice that just opened up two offices in Washington (1627 Eye Street NW, 1001 G Street NW). Guests came by after work to unwind with cocktails and bites, and everyone left with a free one-year membership to the medical program.

Smith Point's New 80-Person VIP List
Smith Point, the list-only dive bar in Georgetown that has been known to attract preppy A-listers like the Bush twins, has released a new VIP list of 80 people that will get special privileges at this and other establishments of Bo Blair's empire (Jettie's, Surfside, Bayou, etc).

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 16, 2012

On Saturday, February 25th, LocalHeadphones will present Gringo Star's European Tour send off party at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown DC!

LocalHeadphones will be teaming up with Bartab and Pinkberry to put together what is sure to be a rocking night!

This Friday, as nearly 4.8 million people flock to Rio de Janeiro for Carnival (arguably the biggest party on earth) DC will be hosting a Carnival party of its own at ShadowRoom.

Shadow will be decked out and decorated in a Brazilian theme, complete with dancers fully bedazzled with traditional Carnival costumes, and featuring delicious Brazilian drinks and cocktails. Friday promises to continue ShadowRoom's streak of wild parties.

Washington’s art scene continues to flourish, and we’ve noticed that nightlife plays a central role in its growing vibrancy. The harmonization of the two has encouraged the revitalization of the DC art world.

We spoke with Georgetown student Alex Crane, whose passion for art inspired her to explore outside the university bubble. Alex is an intern at the Corcoran Gallery, but also a full-time student by day and art aficionado by night. She gives us an inside scoop on all the creativity DC has to offer after the sun goes down. Her discoveries combined with some of our own make for the ultimate DC art junkie’s going-out guide. More»

Have you run into Captain America? He is our resident superhero (and a Georgetown undergrad) that would rather put on a costume and help people than go out to a party. He has done everything from give directions to weary, lost travelers to walk drunk girls home to pose in pictures with fans.

Producer Will Rabbe recently got a few minutes of the superhero's attention when he spotted him on patrol outside of Tombs...and we're officially obsessed with this kid. Here, he discusses getting heckled by drunks, salutes some citizens, impresses a fan ("wow it's really him!") and reveals his real identity.
