Edvard Munch: A 150th Anniversary Tribute

Edvard Munch: A 150th Anniversary Tribute
Norway's most famous artist, Edvard Munch, will be honored at the National Gallery of Art this summer with 20 of his pieces on display until July 28, including his iconic masterpiece: The Scream. Oh, you recognize it? No kidding...it's only probably the most recognizable piece of art ever, after the Mona Lisa. Munch only made for versions, one of which sold for over $110 million at auction last year. The Royal Embassy of Norway is hosting a concert at the museum on Wednesday, June 5th: Norwegian music by the Gjermund Larsen Trio. His work will be on display at the National Gallery of Art until July 28, 2013. [Image via]
