The King of Pop is back in Cirque du Soleil's latest feat, Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour. Showcasing at the Verizon Center in July, the performance incorporates dance, music, and visuals with far less acrobatics than the average Soleil show.
An homage to Jackson, the show is appropriate for all (from die-hard fans to those who are new to Jackson's music). From the Cirque du Soleil website:
THE IMMORTAL World Tour takes place in a fantastical realm where we discover Michael's inspirational Giving Tree - the wellspring of his creativity. The secrets of Michael's inner world are unlocked - his love of music and dance, fairy tale and magic, and the fragile beauty of nature.
The underpinnings of THE IMMORTAL World Tour are Michael Jackson's powerful, inspirational music and lyrics - the driving force behind the show—brought to life with extraordinary power and breathless intensity.
THE IMMORTAL will be in town for three nights only: July 13, 14, and 15.
