Asia After Dark: Bhangra Night with DJ Rekha

Spice up your summer at Bhangra Night, featuring the internationally renowned DJ Rekha. Named "Bhangra's Ambassador" by the New York Times, Rekha has been spinning records for nearly a decade and is the host of the famous Basement Bhangra parties at S.O.B.'s (Sounds of Brazil) in New York City. Watch the Lalkaare Sheran De dance troupe's exploding routine of traditional Bhangra dances, create art inspired by the exhibition Arts of the Indian Subcontinent and the Himalayas, and sample delicious specialty cocktails. Suggested Attire: South Asian style, dress, or accessories. A cash bar will offer specialty cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening, as well as food from area restaurants. You must be 21 years old with a valid ID to attend.
