Raise your glass to raise funds for a worthy organization at “A Taste of Virginia’s Own” wine tasting event that takes place Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Hosted by Kimpton’s Palomar Arlington, the wine tasting will benefit the Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry (NOVAM), an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive HIV prevention education for local youth and direct services to meet the needs of those who are living with HIV/AIDS in the Northern Virginia community.
Guests are invited to enjoy hors d’ oeuvres while sampling varietals from top Virginia winemakers, including Annefield Vineyards, Barboursville Vineyards, Fabbioli Cellars, Horton Vineyards, Paradise Springs Winery, and Tarara Winery. Over the last two decades, Virginia wine country has gained the attention of savvy wine lovers throughout the world, growing from only six wineries to more than 190 today. “A Taste of Virginia’s Own” will feature some of the varietals that have helped Virginia to become the fifth largest wine producer in the country.
“A Taste of Virginia’s Own” is part of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants’ annual Red Ribbon Campaign, during which Kimpton hotels across the nation host fundraising events for HIV/AIDS organizations. For more than two decades, Kimpton has assisted HIV service organizations across North America through employee volunteerism, HIV educational campaigns, corporate donations, and fundraising events. National Red Ribbon sponsors include jetBlue Airways.
Reservations are recommended. Admission is $30 per person in advance and $35 at the door with all ticket proceeds to benefit NOVAM.
