This fall, join the Corcoran Contemporaries of the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design for the second
annual cocktail fundraiser NOW at Night on Friday, October 21, 2011. Celebrate contemporary art in the capital city with fellow Washingtonian art lovers and philanthropists for an evening of art, music, and cocktails to benefit NOW at the Corcoran, the Corcoran’s contemporary art series dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging and mid-career artists.
NOW at Night is hosted by the Corcoran Contemporaries, a group of dynamic contemporary art collectors and enthusiasts who support the Corcoran’s contemporary art initiatives. All proceeds from NOW at Night will benefit NOW at the Corcoran exhibitions and programming.
From 8 p.m. to midnight on October 21, guests at NOW at Night will enjoy an exclusive view of 30 Americans — the Corcoran’s landmark fall exhibition— as well as Hank Willis Thomas: Strange Fruit, Gordon Parks: Photographs from the Collection, a last-chance viewing of the second NOW exhibition, Chris Martin: Painting Big, and the Corcoran’s modern and contemporary art collection. The celebration continues with music and video projections by DJ Spooky, specialty drinks, beer and wine, and a cocktail and dessert buffet.
Pre-sale tickets for NOW at Night are $100 and are on sale now through September 19. After September 19, tickets for NOW at Night are $150 for individuals and $250 for a pair of tickets. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.corcoran.org/nowatnight.
