On August 9th you’re invited to the monthly mingle where art and happy hour collide.
Please join Ladies DC and ArtSee at One Lounge for their $2, 4, 6, 8, happy hour and to meet local artist, Lindz Routt. She will have several works on display that we hope will encourage your curiosity in the local art scene.
With a collection of work that focuses on interaction, and the documentation of people's behavior, Lindz Routt's presentation of paintings for Ladies DC will focus on time capsules of intimacy, and moments where we question our actions. Thinking of the painted characters as part of a continuous storyline, the images presented are moments of transformation, where the viewer does not know what the next scene will bring.
Additional works by the artist is available in multiple mediums, all with the intent to be touched or provide a vehicle for exchange. Throughout the range of projects, the goal is always to provoke verbal, emotion and idea-based dialog, encouraging viewers to search their everyday environment for items of intrigue.
