Washington, DC’s own fitness personality and creator of YaLa Fitness, Laurent Amzallag, will be celebrating YaLa’s 10-year anniversary by launching a new health event, Hot YaLa Nights on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Southwest Waterfront. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital, Children’s National Medical Center and more information on the event can be found at http://yalafitness.com/.
The dynamic creator of this fitness craze is as gorgeous as he is funny, and aside from being tall dark handsome, he is committed to making sure participants laugh, love and dance their way to a fitter, better self. Laurent has received praise from Oprah, Elle Magazine and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, who named him one of the country’s top 50 trainers and was recently named as one of DC’s top trainers by Washingtonian Magazine.
Hot YaLa Nights is about fitness, fashion and fun. This event will begin with a demonstration by celebrity hairstylist Johnny Wright who will provide styling tricks of the trade for active woman. Johnny has worked with clients like First Lady Michelle Obama and actresses like Vivica A. Fox, Vanessa Williams, and author Candace Bushnell. The program will be followed by a Lululemon fashion event showcasing the latest trends in fitness wear. Urban Evolution, one of the first of its kind to offer Parkour and Capoeira, will demonstrate an aerial acrobatics and ninja style movement show. Life-stylist Rachel Strisik, who has worked with Stacy London from TLC’s what not to wear and featured in the Washington post and Bethesda will also speak.
The core of the program will be the YaLa Workout led by Laurent. This intense complete (cardio, strength conditioning, core, plyometric) dance based workout uniquely combines dance moves choreographed to world beats. The experience will be open to all levels, whether you are a beginner or advanced.
