Though it may be hard to fathom with the recent heat wave, D.C. is a very green place. Or it could be. "Greening DC one garden at a time" is the theme of this year's tour. Explore city spaces and private gardens to see what growing our own food here is like. From a chef's private edible garden to front porch growing and a child's garden, you can take tips home to turn your sad-looking window boxes into something special. Then hit the after party with music, garden-to-table food and drinks, and more. From 5 to 8 p.m.
