Upscale gastropub The Gryphon opened in Dupont Circle last night with a VIP Preview Party, in the space that used to be Heritage India (which moved two blocks over to 1633 P St NW). Mari Vanna, the famous family of four high-end Russian restaurants in Saint Petersburg, Moscow, London and NYC, is opening its largest location ever in Washington this January at 1141 Connecticut Avenue NW.
