Last night, friends and family of Richard Nixon met at the Mayflower Hotel to celebrate the late 37th president's 100th birthday. Guests enjoyed drinks and bites from a cake in the shape of Nixon's childhood home.
The next president that would be turning 100 is Gerald Ford on July 14 this year. Then, JFK is up on May 29, 2017. More»

Yesterday, Redskins fans packed Redline Gastrolounge to watch the team play the Seattle Seahawks in the team's first playoff game since 2007 (when, coincidentally, the Redskins also played the Seahawks). Spirits were high as the 'skins led the game 14-0 in the first quarter, but the Seahawks barreled through to the end with a final score of 24-14, Seahawks. More»

The team over at BrightestYoungThings.com hosted their "Fancy Schmancy New Year's Eve Ball" on Monday night at the Former Spanish Ambassador’s Residence on 16th Street. Guests enjoyed a plethora of activities and decor, including a photobooth, confetti, costumes, lighting by DC Night Lights and balloons by Katie Balloons. The Hilton Washington hosted 6,000 Washingtonians for Lindy Promo and DC 101's massive Downtown Countdown last night. Open bars, hot first class buffets, and party favors were everywhere. The Friday before Christmas, Midtown Partyplex near Dupont Circle held a little red dress party, which meant free alcohol for ladies in red.
