DJ Chest Rockwell is the newest addition to the Big Night DC NYE lineup, the 8,000-person New Years Eve megaparty happening at the Gaylord National Resort.

Chest Rockwell, a favorite of Georgetown socials, has rocked music gigs everywhere from DC to the Hamptons, and from Istanbul to Prague and beyond. He regularly DJs for DC’s GLOW party circuit and the Thompson LES in NYC. After opening for big names such as Harvard Base, Major Lazer, Carl Kennedy and Cedric Gervais, his upcoming appearance at Big Night is big news for the evening. More»

On Saturday, music lovers of all ages flocked to Merriweather Post Pavilion for Virgin Mobile's Annual FreeFest with headliners Skrillex and Jack White. Saturday, September 15th, DC's own Thievery Corporation hosted a massive all day concert at the DC Fairgrounds. Along with a  performance from Thievery, attendees enjoyed live music from Gogol Bordella, Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Archives, The Funk Arc, and Congo Sanchez. Last night, socials Peter Jansen and Daniela Kelley hosted a live Gideon Grove concert and a wine tasting at Peter's house on Capitol Hill, nicknamed "The 239" for the party. Gideon, a native Washingtonian, was a classically trained violist that grew up playing for diginitaries, politicians and celebrities. More»

On Saturday, country singer Amy Wilcox, 25, will be in town to debut her first album. After wrapping up her studies at Vanderbilt, the Virginia native spent a year performing at Nashville’s premier music venue, 3rd and Lindsley, while also working with some of the best writers in the industry.
