Saturday night at the Corcoran was the scene of this year’s Artini, held by the 1869 Society to benefit local charity ArtReach. Eleven top local mixologists showed up to put their creativity to the test with their most inventive cocktail. The only thing that can drag my attention away from a perfectly crafted cocktail would be a perfectly crafted outfit, of which there were an astonishing number on Saturday night.

The creative cocktail theme was not only evident in the libations but also the patrons. Like only a few cocktails making the cut for Artini, I had trouble narrowing down my ten favorite picks of the night.

Monique Thompkins was crowned Miss DC USA 2012 last night at the Miss DC USA pageant at the J.W. Marriott Hotel.

Thompkins, who won the top scores in the swimsuit and evening gown categories, dropped her crown in the hustle and bustle of post-win photography chaos but put it back on with the help of Miss DC USA 2011 Heather Swann. More»

We can't help but think we missed the memo yesterday. Where was everyone?! Judging from past events like Disco Soccer, we know how wild parties can get at The Beacon Hotel and we were pumped to continue our Sunday Funday on the rooftop.
