Nerd Prom in Washington is officially over, and all of the celebrities are back home. From the People/TIME party on WHCD Eve to the Making News Party, from the MSNBC and Vanity Fair/Bloomberg after-parties to the brunches with media elites, here is a look back at the glittery parties of WHCD weekend, in chronological order:



It's almost time for "Nerd Prom" in Washington, the annual gathering of celebrities and media elites known as the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. Here are the hottest parties you won't want to miss this year:

Late night talk show host Conan O'Brien will be the host of this year's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, a source told Politico. This will mark the second dinner headlined by the comedian; his first was in 1995 during the Clinton administration.
Last year's dinner was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. More»

NPR's first nerd prom party on Friday night proved to be a hot ticket with many celebs, socials and media moguls grooving to the tunes of DJ Solange Knowles at the Gibson Guitar Showroom. Guests noshed on bites and sipped cocktails while spotting celebs and recognizable voices in the showroom and out on the back deck. More»

On Saturday Capitol File Magazine presented an awesome after party to conclude an unforgettable weekend of WHCD events. The star-studded black tie event was held at the Newseum, and was hosted by Claire Danes, Capitol File publisher and EIC Sarah Schaffer, and Niche Media CEO Katherine Nicholls, and was the final weekend celebration for some of the District's most important media faces, celebrities and socialites. Unless you were living on a secluded island this past weekend, you know that the hottest place to be was at the Washington Hilton for the White House Correspondants Dinner. Celebrities and the people who love them mingled together in receptions hosted by The Washington Post, CNN, Time and People, to name just a few. This was the place to see and be seen. Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is coming to this weekend's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner as a guest of Greta Van Susteren, according to Washington Post Reliable Source.
She will be there with her defense attorney, too.
According to Fishbowl, Greta is also the one responsible for bringing Kim Kardashian last year. Harrumph.
Let's hope she gets seated with comedian David Cross so he has someone to do coke with at WHCD this year!
