Where Were You, Rick Ross?

by MADELEINE STARKEY · July 29, 2010

Well we can start with where you weren't: the Liaison Hotel.  Last night.  You were supposed to be there, we heard.  For some Moet party.  Did you even plan on coming or did you just allow the hotel to use your name to get people to come?

Were you busy pretending to sell coke?

We kid.  Because we love.  But seriously, what gives?  The only explanation we got for your absence was quite unsatisfying:

Due to an unforseen personal matter, Rick Ross will be unable to host the Rosé Lounge at Liasion Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. this evening.

Möet & Chandon is committed to the community and the Rosé Lounge will proceed as planned. The Rosé Lounge starts at 7pm at the Liasion Capitol Hill which is located at 415 New Jersey Avenue, NW.  If you are still planning to attend, please send me the following at your earliest convenience.

INTERVIEWER NAME (please provide): CONTACT MOBILE (please provide): WHAT EQUIPMENT, IF ANY, ARE YOU PLANNING TO BRING? (please provide): WILL YOU HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER (please provide): DATE YOUR PIECE/SEGMENT IS SET TO RUN (please provide): HOW MUCH TIME YOU NEED (please provide): CIRCULATION/IMPRESSIONS (please provide):

Looking forward to toasting the night away...

We don't really understand what the point of all those questions is if you weren't going to be at the Liaison--what were we going to do?  Interview the champagne (no thanks, the French can be difficult in those situations)?

Are you available for follow up interviews, despite your absence from D.C.?

While you were elsewhere, Tabi Bonney did show up.

We'll let this one slide though, bawse, because we love songs such as these.
