The Chinese New Year was in full swing at Ping Pong Dim Sum Chinatown, with Chinese dragons, musicians, and chefs entertaining the friends of the National Children's Center Foundation last night. NCC celebrated the theme of “Meaningful Employment For All” with a bevy of special invited guests, colleagues and industry leaders in the field of disability services. NCC is one of the region’s largest providers of services for the developmentally disabled, and proudly maintains a mission of providing a lifetime of opportunities for people with developmental disabilities in the Washington metropolitan area.

The honorees for the evening were Mr. Robert Kennedy, Board Member of National Children's Center; Dr. Renee L. Pietrangelo, CEO of ANCOR; and Sir Peter Westmacott, British Ambassador to the United States. Each honoree was presented with an award of recognition for their dedicated service toward the creation of more employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.

In addition to Chinese-themed bites and entertainment, guests enjoyed a charitable silent auction and an open bar as they ushered in the "Year of the Snake." The fundraising event was a phenomenal success, thanks to the following event sponsors: Office Depot, George Dunn, Peter Dunne, The Thatcher Law Group, Seyfarth & Shaw LLP, Savers, Inc., The Meltzer Group, The Hill Group, RedStar Mind Trust (Leadership Greater Washington) and Clarke & Sampson.

Guests included: Mr. Robert Kennedy, Dr. Renee L. Pietrangelo, NCC CEO Scott Filer, Bernard Crawford, Liz Cammack, and Brad Cheng.
