Last night marked the first annual “Blue Crush” Summer Celebration to Crush Colon Cancer. The charity event was held at STROGA, a strength and yoga studio in Adams Morgan, and was hosted by Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation, in partnership with The Pink Line Project and Pamela's Punch.

The performance-filled evening featured live music by Grammy nominee hip-hop artist Christylez Bacon, contemporary classical group Low End String Quartet, Indie-rock band The Four Horseman, and Evan Bliss. The City Dance Ensemble also graced the floor and performed for the event's attendees. Limited-edition artwork from DC’s top artists were up for auction and colon cancer survivors, patients, and their families shared meaningful stories with the guests in attendance.

The Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation aims to find a cure for colon cancer by funding cutting edge research programs across the nation improve. While they are facilitating such research, they also strive to fund and develop innovative programs to improve the lives of patients diagnosed with colon cancer.
