Last night, the gorgeous Residence of His Excellency Jonas Hafström, Ambassador of Sweden, was the setting of the Champions Celebration in support of the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC). The day ended with a dinner honoring two great contributors to the sport, Mats Wilanter, (former world #1 player and winner of seven grand slam singles titles), and Mark Ein, (owner of the Washington Kastles who also brought World Team Tennis to DC, winning the '09 Championship).

    About the JTCC:

With its world class tennis training program, JTCC provides talented and highly motivated youth with the athletic and academic instruction they need to excel on the court and in the classroom.

All event proceeds will be 100% matched and benefit GAME ON, which funds scholarships for promising youth from the inner city. You can give a talented child the opportunity to excel on the court and go to college! Every $5,000 raised will create a $10,000 scholarship, enough to sponsor one inner city child for an entire year. Your generosity will provide tennis and fitness training, and individual mentoring for three hours a day, three times a week for eleven months. In addition, each child will receive a new racquet, a new pair of tennis shoes, and tennis clothing.
