On Friday night, the Motiso Group, an organization dedicated to bettering women- and minority-owned businesses, hosted a posh fundraiser at Georgetown's exclusive L2 lounge. The event featured decadent hors d'oeuvres, desserts (including two birthday cakes!), door prizes, silent auction, a DJ, and drink specials. The grand finale was the luxury raffle--one guest went home with a new iPad and a 7-night resort vacation for two.
Motiso, founded by Gail Brown, seeks to advance businesses owned by minorities and/or women by providing business advice, consulting services, programs and networking opportunities. The group will have their next event in July, so keep an eye on Motiso.org for more details.
