On Friday night, the Motiso Group, an organization dedicated to bettering women- and minority-owned businesses, hosted a posh fundraiser at Georgetown's exclusive L2 lounge. The event featured decadent hors d'oeuvres, desserts (including two birthday cakes!), door prizes, silent auction, a DJ, and drink specials. The grand finale was the luxury raffle--one guest went home with a new iPad and a 7-night resort vacation for two.

Motiso, founded by Gail Brown, seeks to advance businesses owned by minorities and/or women by providing business advice, consulting services, programs and networking opportunities. The group will have their next event in July, so keep an eye on Motiso.org for more details.

Guests included:  J Nicole Alford, Gail Brown, El Jay DeShield, Evy Edwards, Olivia Garrett, Rachel Grante, Dusan Grante, and Sheryl Scruggs.
