The Fab Empire, an award-winning website based in Washington, DC, celebrated five years with an invitation-only cocktail party at Recess Lounge on Thursday, August 23. The site documents parties, restaurants, and lounges for young urban professionals in DC, Baltimore, Boston and NYC. The site won a Black Weblog Award in 2008, and is currently nominated for two more Black Weblog awards.
The intimate event on Thursday attracted industry insiders, socialites, politicos and tastemakers. Guests enjoyed complimentary signature cocktails courtesy of CÎROC Vodka, Qream Liqueur and Coors Light. DJ Heat, celebrity deejay and producer of the Pablo & Free Morning Show on WPGC-FM 95.5 provided the evening's soundtrack.
