Food Truck Frenzy: Peruvian Brothers

by Sophie Pyle · July 1, 2013

Never have we seen a food truck gain so much momentum in DC as the Peruvian Brothers Food Truck, with features in almost all of DC's big newspapers and a gig to cater Hinge's upcoming Neon Tuxedo Disco.

    Open Since: March 2013

Why We Like It: Besides the authentic and delicious Peruvian food, you might want to peek inside to meet brother Giuseppe Lanzone. He is team USA all the way--and rowed for us in the Beijing and London Olympics. You might also remember brother Mario from behind the bar at Napoleon Bistro & Lounge.

The Menu: Choose your main: an $8 sandwich, a $5 empanada, or a $10 combo platter (which includes two sides). Add sides like rice pudding and Peruvian cookies for $3-4. Wash it all down with $2 Inca Colas and Chicha Moradas, or stick with an American soda for $1.
