In: Modern Lounge, Out: Saloun

While the Hoyas were devastated when the local jam Saloun closed its doors in October, it didn't take them long to find a new weeknight stomping ground. Attention was quickly diverted to Modern Lounge, located on M Street in Georgetown. While not previously frequented by Georgetown students, they gather here strictly on Thursdays to tear up the dance floor and listen to the techno beats of GU's own DJ Matt Winter.

Insider tip: Show up fashionably early and get an "in" with the bouncer - you'll skip the cover and stake out your territory on the dance floor first.
