What's Hot What's Not For 2012: Georgetown Edition

Last year, everyone flocked to the app Words With Friends, the scrabble social networking game that was nothing short of addicting.

For 2012, students are ready to say goodbye to word spelling and hello to a photo sharing app that taps into your social sphere in more ways than one. While Instagram entered the app store back in 2010, the new 2.0 version has been used all over campus to snap photos of the weekend's hottest party, a funny professor in class or the beautiful Georgetown scenery.

Snap a photo with your iPhone and then Instagram allows you to choose a filter that will transform the colors, mood, border, and tonality of your photo. No longer do mobile uploads come out looking just so-so, and Instagram allows you to connect with others via the app and instantly add your pictures to your Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Flickr page. Even Obama is using it.
