Happy Cinco de Mayo! Where To Party In D.C.

by SARAH KUNST · May 5, 2010

Cinco de Mayo is actually analogous to D-Day, however celebrating another countries military victories with statues and parades is not nearly as fun as tequila shots and guacamole pools so we've rounded up parties and bars that will put you in the cinco spirit.

Two DJ's, XM Radio, a Mexican Dance Contest, limbo, pinatas, and more. Freeentry but donations will be collected at the door to benefit One Life Warrior. Party lasts all day and night!

    Aura Lounge Neighborhood: Northwest 1837 M St. N.W. Washington, DC 20036 703-850-4619

Nacho Ordinary Cinco de Mayo Party: 19th Bar

Come on, who isn't in the mood to "Shake it like Salt Shaker?" Seriously. The tag line for this party is, as follows:

Hold Onto your Sombreros, Ladies are Shakin’ their MARACAS!!!

Chances of Ladies actually shakin' their Maracas? Zero. But $1 tacos and $6 Margaritas aren't something we're going to complain about. Groups of 10 get all they can drink for $50.

    5 pm Free Entry. Neighborhood: Northwest 1900 I St N.W. Washington, DC 20006 202-331-5800
