When did you first decide to make the transition from media and public relations to pursing your dream of opening a shop?
In 2006, after a string of successful stints in media and PR, I felt unfulfilled and unsure of where my current career path was taking me. Although I had done well and enjoyed many aspects of my career, I always felt like I was living someone else’s life and yearned to find my niche. I wasn’t married and really had nothing to lose by getting off that path and doing whatever it took to find my purpose in life. I thought “What’s the worst that can happen?” Luckily, it worked out for me!
