George Clooney was arrested earlier today, along with his father Nick Clooney, Martin Luther King III, NAACP President Ben Jealous, Congressman Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), Congressman Jim Moran (D-Va.) and former Congressman Tom Andrews (D-Mass.), MSNBC reported. The group was protesting outside of the Sudanese Embassy right here in Washington, urging lawmakers to provide humanitarian aid to Sudan.
Just two nights ago, Clooney was dining at the White House, seated next to the First Lady. From the White House to a DC jail cell next to MLK Junior Junior in less than 48 hours...I think it's safe to say he lived it up on his brief visit to Washington. [photos via, via]
